Some eggs showed up while we were sleeping! Naka-chan and W-IND's, I think, since they seem the least confused about where they came from.

[ the video switches from Akito, who is holding his newly-hatched Chingling in one arm, to a Lampent hovering over two Eevee eggs and a Larvesta egg. ]

Spitfire is going to help them hatch quickly, so... Jack! Do you want an Eevee? We can't keep both eggs for ourselves.

[ IT'S HIS FIRST BATCH OF EGGS he is so excited. and confused. because really though where did they come from that is anatomically impossible. not that a Swablu carrying an 80lb teen is either, but still. ]

No, I'm a trainer! How large at the clutches usually?

Oh, you were just so excited I thought- nevermind. Being a trainer isn't bad. [Which is to say she doesn't have high opinions of a path that requires pitting pokémon against each other until one faints but who is she to judge others?]

I think five or six is a fairly common clutch size if only one set of pokémon breed. I'd have to check the guide to be entirely sure, but I've seen some really huge batches announced recently too.

Thought what? [ he has a few Pokémon who dislike battling, but enjoy training with the rest of them. though Akito prefers hatching eggs, while Agito prefers battles... ]

I think two is a good size! One for me and one for my friend.

That I have found another one that I could possibly ask for more information. The whole breeding process seems so much more difficult than it should be.

Then it's the perfect size if that's what you wanted that all along.

Ah... Does it? I usually try to just go along with whatever happens... I never really thought much about the mechanics behind breeding.

That's okay, I'm sort of a nerd and spend hours pouring over the guides that were in my bag when I left New Bark Town. [Have a sheepish smile Akito.] It's about compatibility. I'm hoping a few of mine are compatible but I'm going to have to wait a bit still to find out since they're fairly young.

W-IND and Naka-chan are both still fairly young too, but they've really liked each other a lot since they were baby Eevee.

Hmm. I think I'm going to need to do a bit more research then. [Because why can't her Pidgey breed with any of her other pkeémon?] Especially if age has nothing to do with it.

You can learn a lot if you find work at one of the Pokémon Centres! That's how I've learned so much so quickly.

I'll have to look into that when I reach the next town. A little more hands on experience couldn't be a bad thing.
